IN THE OCEAN OF THE STARS
Dusty Shoes Music
Released: 2008

Peter Salett’s ambitious fifth album, In the Ocean of the Stars puts the spotlight on a strikingly original artist who has amassed an impressive body of work essentially behind the scenes and below the radar. A sprawling tour de force that moves seamlessly between folk-rooted intimacy and all-out symphonic grandeur, the album takes its place alongside such landmarks of visionary contemporary music as Nick Drake’s Five Leaves Left, Randy Newman’s Sail Away and Beck’s Sea Change.

AFTER A WHILE
Dusty Shoes Music

Released: 2004

"Simple but not simplistic, Peter Salett writes pop songs that wrap their longings in the leanest of arrangements. Salett orchestrates with a Zen-like economy on {After A While}, placing a pedal steel in one corner, a piano in another... the songs simmer with a reflective early 1970s glaze, not unlike what a modern day East Coast Jackson Browne might surmise." Rolling Stone.

FADED BLUE EYES
Dusty Shoes Music

Released: 2001

This solo acoustic CD was recorded in 1998 by engineer Pete Keppler, who just engineered David Bowie's latest. It is a collection of 8 songs, most of which did not end up on either of Salett's two earlier band records. Haunting and spare, this is a must for the true Peter Salett fan.

HEART OF MINE
Dusty Shoes Music

Released: 2000

"Melody inhabits these songs like juice in a ripened fruit, sweet and rich and constituting much of the substance of the music. On a few tracks, particularly the irresistible "Heart of Mine" Salett draws from the breezy simplicity of late '50's and early '60's pop" - All Music Guide

PAINTINGS OF THESE DAYS
Dusty Shoes Music
Released: 1997

"Peter Salett plants plenty of bite in the acoustic based pop-rock tunes that comprise Paintings of These Days. There is a gritty undercurrent both in the lyrics and arrangements of these songs...Salett has a knack for crafting natty pop hooks" - All Music Guide
